The OA Lodge Store Team is a family of dedicated
Scouters. We are the McDaniel's. Craig has been involved in Scouting
for thirty years. He is a Silver Beaver, Vigil member of the Tu-Cubin-Noonie
Lodge, and has served in many Scouting positions including Lodge
Adviser for the Tu-Cubin-Noonie Lodge. Kathy has nearly fifteen
years of Scouting service. Adam is the web designer and has fifteen
years of Scouting background. He is a Vigil member of the Tu-Cubin-Noonie
Lodge and served as the Lodge Chief for two terms. He has also
served as a Scoutmaster and was awarded the Scoutmaster Award of
Merit and the District Award of Merit. Kenton has over ten years
of Scouting service, is a Vigil member of the Tu-Cubin-Noonie Lodge
and served as a Ceremony Chief for one term and competed at NOAC
in the ceremonies competition. We are all continuing our Scouting
service today.
We have been in the internet marketing business since 1996. We
started by selling Scouting memorabilia on eBay at that time. Since
then we have developed several internet marketing web sites for
selling Scout memorabilia. We were approached a few years ago by
one of our local lodges and asked to develop an internet store
for their lodge. We decided to start Boy Scout Store at that time.
It has been a very successful site and store. Since then we have
cultivated relationships with nearly thirty consignors. Shortly
after starting Boy Scout Store we developed needsList.com. This
internet site allows collectors from all over the world to list
their “needs” in an internet repository. The site has proven very
popular and activity continues to grow.
With the increase in business we were asked by our customers to
develop a site that was specifically oriented toward the Order
of the Arrow and more specifically toward marketing for individual
lodges. We are glad to present OA Lodge Store. This site is designed
to be a base for lodges to sell their memorabilia on the internet
without all of the challenges of operating the store themselves.
This site also allows collectors a central location where the can
purchase materials from lodges across the country.
Look for some additional internet efforts in the near future.
We are developing an online Scouting Museum . We hope to create
a site where individuals with memorabilia collections can “house” their
collections in one place and share the information and expertise
they have collected with others. Look for it soon.
